Day 1: Nothing special. Muted fruits, spice and floral notes. Past its prime. For $12 an easy pass. 78 points Day 2: Can't say this is much better. Scorched earth, floral, muted fruits and candied pineapple. 79 points

Served with grilled salmon and mashed potatoes. The bottle was chilled to refrigerator temperature when served and that was far too cold to appreciate it fully. Once the wine warmed in the glass it began to show a little earthiness and dare I say a pleasant fuzz on the palate. It could use a little more acidity but overall a decent white CDP-styled wine.

"55% Grenache Blanc, 36% Roussanne, & 9% Picpoul from a single vyd source, the Beeswax Vyd in the Arroyo Seco region of Monterey County; The ’15 Cigare Blanc underwent a complete malolactic fermentation. 13.5% ABV, 5.4 g/L T.A., & 3.7 pH; 508 cases produced & released May 2018."
N: CLOSED; HINTS of tropical frts, poss earth?
P: LM, poss Lt, body; RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish frt met by balancing acidity which evolves into a LONG, balanced, tangy/swt finish. Nice enough, but my GUESS would be at least somewhat on the decline. Drink NOW & for the next 6 mos. My VG+, *poss* more for the QPR of a "drink tonight", fairly ELEGANT wine. 92 pts Vinous (Raynolds, 10/’18), 90 WS (11/15/18), & 88 WE (10/1/2018) @ $28. [This vendor's (closeout?) $15.99 is an impressive $5+ < wine-searcher's lowest!]
Note: Assuming this to be white-Rhonish, my longevity estimate may be WAY short as my experiences with the FR versions *also* have me sensing they're NOT particularly ageworthy. In short, unless I catch them VERY young, I don't seem to be able to appreciate the style. :(

Not bad, but not anything special, either.
A good value at the fire sale price, but not so much at the regular price.
