Bought two bottles, the first a few weeks ago was disappointing. This one was given some time to settle and breathe and was pleasant. It was definitely past it's prime but there were still fruit and floral notes up front then a finish into some white pepper notes. The pepper was a bit overpowering without the tannins it would have had when younger.

Deep garnet. Nose was all Shiraz, but with some age, taking the fruit bomb aspect down a notch. All the better, IMO. Taste was a more mellow shiraz, hence the grenache and mouvedre involvement. Really nice.

Combines extracted, crowd-pleasing flavors with complexity that will appeal to wine snobs. Viscous texture, elegant plum color, nose of allspice, raspberries and toasted oak.
