  Deep ruby. Dark plum, red ripe cherry, heaps of primary fruit and some vanilla and oak on moderate nose. Soft dark ripe fruit, blood plum, more ripe cherry. Hint of cedar. Medium- tannins. Long finish and a bit of complexity from the oak. Great with food.

  Feels like a wine of two parts at this point- the raisined flavour courtesy of the winemaking method and the what would otherwise be a medium bodied spicey wine. The tannins feel stuck under the jammy flavours and mouthfeel at this point. Interesting, but does not have the grip or persistence of flavour for 99 pts. 89 from me, and that includes 1-2 pts for novelty. Drink within 2 years for the parts to integrate, but I question how those raisined flavours will age beyond that. Good value at $20aud

  Technisch correcte wijn maar misschien is dat nu net zijn probleem. Een beetje zoals de zoveelste Disneyfilm, met de laatste snufjes maar juist dat maakt deze Primitivo eenheidsworst. Neus van kersen met chocolade die lijkt op de bekende industriële chocolaatjes en ook vanille bekomen door het in Italië toegelaten drenken van stukjes hout in de rvs tanks, vaak te zien in industriële Italianen en goedkoper dan houtrijping. Een neus dus gedomineerd door sterke aroma'sdoor het toevoegen van industriële gisten. Mist een beetje de zuren die bij deze druif sowieso vaak een probleem zijn in de grootproductie.
  Nogal saai, snel drinken want dit soort Primitivo moet je jong en op 15/16° schenken. Wel goed voor de prijs want correct, ik zelf ben wat andere gewoon en daar vergelijk ik mee.
  Ideale wijn, voor niet veeleisende beginners.
  Ook ok om te cadeau te doen aan de locale voetbalclub of scouts als prijs voor hun jaarlijkse kwis.
