Phenomenal, remarkable, mesmerizing. Those are adjectives heard around the table (plus a couple swear to emphasize the adjectives). It's really a viura built for the ages. Grown biodynamically, made with low intervention, it's also a work of love for those who know David and Melanie. The wine is a crystal clear, beautiful golden orange color. The nose is extremely complex and reveals several layers, from quince, to lanolin, beeswax, to wild flower honey and herbal flavours. It has a very polished palate, it's waxy, somewhat spicy, and continues with the quince/candied orange notes. It it a wine with amazing presence, texture and great persistence. Blown away.

Online Blind Tasting #9: Broadening your wine horizon: *** Note is based on 0,1l bottles filled about 2 days before the tasting from 0,75l bottle and 0,1l two days after the tasting *** Glass: Zalto Universal Only ~1000 bottles produced. Viura, 6-7 years of bottle age.Clear, deep golden color. Clean, medium+ intense, developing nose. Coconut, fresh lime, herbs, vermouth, camphor. Very complex and multi-layered. Dry, medium+ acidity. 14% abv that is well integrated if not drunk too warm. Full bodied. On the palate salted caramel, cloves, orange peel, very mineral, spicy, cinnamon. Very deep and dense! Complex, round, creamy. Good balance, lots of extract. Very freaky. You either love it or hate it. Long, salty and spicy finish. Potential? Certainly, but hard to rate. Excellent wine, but I don’t have to drink more than one glas. 93-94

Great wine. I can’t believe, it’s not sherry - og from Jura, this is the direction anyway. Old vines on chalky soils, and it shows, oxidative notes, fine, persitant acidity, great minerality and layers of fruit. Will live a long time.

Xmas Party - BYO for Cheese: Very funky but also very fun to drink. Cloves, orange peel. Weird stuff.

Amazing Viura macerated on the skins by David Sampedro. Six years of ageing in oak barrels make this wine a luxurious experience. Great masterpeice.
