  • For me are the wines from Campo alla Sughera definitely one of the best "worth a try" not so well known Bolgheri cellars out there.
This 2015 showed actually still almost too young; 4-5 years more cellaring would have shown it to even a much higher level than at today's drinking date.
Very lucent and deep ruby, showing up plenty of spiceness in the nose. On the palate gas very harmonious feel to it with powerful yet integrated tannins and a mild acidity. Fresh dark beeries and some smoky aromas. No marmelade no dried fruits, that's how I want my bolgheri to be!. Long finish with some alkoholic-balsamic touch. From 2017 vintage the style of the wine has been lightly changed making it still a aging bomb but more "pleasant" in its youth too.

  • Suckling's Great Wines of Italy (Loews Hotel - Chicago IL): Walk around tasting. Also very modern with more Bordeaux-esque features and balance. Enjoyable now.
