What an amazing development last 2 years this wine has had. Its now balanced, coming together and full of fun and modern tastes. Salty caramel on both the nose and in the medium long taste mixed with sweet dark black berries and whipped cream.

A great wine with a great QPR. Fruit forward, right amounts of oak and smooth tannins. Need to do the Mollydooker Shake and let the bottle warm to room temperature when taken from a 55 degree wine storage fridge. At that point it all smooths out and is wonderful.

Beautiful deep crimson red. The nose is of black cherries with a wiff of old oak and candied apples. First tastes are of cherries and cassis with a mid-pallet of wonderful oak and blackberry with a hint of licorice on the finish. Moderate tannins and balanced alcohol and fruit.
This is a really well put together wine. Served from the wine fridge (55 degrees) after a Mollydooker shake (made a big difference). The tannins became nicely noticeable as the wine warmed up closer to room temperature.
The wine paired nicely with grilled strip steak, fried red potato slices, green beans and ciabatta bread slathered with butter. I think this wine would have a broad appeal as it nicely balanced fruit, oak, alcohol and tannins. Wife and I were both at 92+,

Good stuff if you like big and powerful Merlots. The 2017 was a cooler vintage, so you get this nice acid that matches the insane richness this wine has to offer. I remember selling it in Burnt Ends and it was flying off the shelves like water. Can't say the same thing about the newer vintage though.
