cork was soaked thru so I was concerned this had turned to vinegar, but it was solid. it did have a bit of a medicinal/cough syrup taste on the finish that my wife found off putting. very new world, but shows no sign of alcohol or heat.

Very inviting, earthy nose of red fruit, forest floor, crushed rose petal, and petrichor, intricate, deftly constructed palate and superbly balanced with loads of sweet raspberries, cherry pie, and early picked strawberry, interlaced with notes of white pepper, Tahitian vanilla, cherry cola, and rose petal, perfectly integrated, chewy, sinewy tannins finishing very long with a suggestion of mint at the conclusion. A fabulous companion to Duck Breast, Green Beens, and Fried Fingerling Potatoes in Duck Fat.
