Popped 'n poured after a splash decant, and immediately open for business, no doubt due to the unique barrel fermentation technique Yves Vatelot has patented. Distinctively merlot in character: vanilla/toast/cherries on the nose; silky but a touch muted on the palate. No heat or alcohol due to the oak/fermentation, but some yeastiness is evident.

2012 En Primeur - Kelly and Kevin’s excellent adventure; 4/4/2013-4/9/2013 (Bordeaux, France): Guessed Balthus. Black fruits, silky and dense. Hedonistic wine.

I was expecting a bit more from this bottle. Good wine, not a huge fan of Bordeaux but a good bottle. Lot of fruit in the Bouquet, a bit of chocolate.
