Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 90 points

  • 90-91 Rare single variety Auxerrois from Alsace legend. Reminds of off-dry PG/PBlanc (cousins) - slatey, mineral, with harmonious phenolic bitter fruit.

N: Perfumed, melon rind, unripe peach (phenolic and bitter), smashed apricots and white flowers.

P: Intense and precise. Savoury bitter lemon and grape skin, wet granite and steel, subtle tropical citrus complimented by touch of sweetness (just off-dry). High acid cuts the slightly creamy texture well.

F: Clean, dry, waxy lemon zest, dried apricot.
