An incredibly compelling bouquet. I sat, swirled, sniffed and sipped for hours before taking a few big drinks. While great with food, it's lovely on its own. The velvety palate begins with roasted red pepper, Asian spice, sour cherry, sandalwood and pencil shavings before evolving to mouth-coating, juicy blackberries, cedar sap, and orange peel. Fantastic balance. Drinking well now, but will improve through 2025ish.

Opened and let sit for about an hour. Nice aroma of ripe black cherries, and some baking spices. Nice dark purple color in the glass. On the palate I got a little green bell pepper, dark chocolate and then blackberries. Really nice round mouthfeel. The tannin was very soft and seems to be resolved. Very nice finish. Not a huge Napa cab, more of a mid weight cab, really enjoyable. Will drink well for at least another 5-6 years, I'd say.

Decanted for 2.5 hours and consumed over the following three. Muted cabernet aromas that provided a hint of what was to come. Flavors included cinnamon spice, pencil lead, blue fruit and tobacco. Nicely balanced, with tannins and acidity approaching resolution but remaining slightly removed from the boldness I've come to expect from Rutherford cabs. Believe this bottle was in that "sleep zone" prior to showing its' stuff. Will wait on the remaining bottle.

Slightly sweet, plush, red fruited, beautiful viscosity, did not pick up much on the nose, bright tasting, mature but not old, dark chocolate, some spice notes, just terrific! Opened three hours in advance but did not decant, was great on opening but did evolve slightly over those three hours. I'd say ZAFER had one of those proverbial "off" bottles. Sucks, I've been there. This will surely last years but is drinking so beautifully today that, if I had more, I'd drink them sooner than later.

Gave a 2 hour decant. Nice dark fruit, cassis, and blackberries. Good structure but tannins and well integrated
