Marc Houtin founded La Grange aux Belles near Anjou in 2004, studied geology and worked at Château d’Yquem making Sauternes. He recruited viticulturist Julien Bresteau in 2006 and their first vintage was released in 2008. There is no filtering, fining, or sulfur added, but the wine is devoid of any sediment. Beautifully expressive Chenin, mouthwatering, tangy apples and great minerality. Light Had with some ash goat cheese.

Lovely apple blossom nose. Pears, limes and vanilla on the palate with a hint of pineapple on the finish. Lovely texture too. Lovely stuff.
