After 8 years, this wine is holding up very well. Acidity is rightly high with a load of grapefruit taste and oak in the background. New Zealand continues to be the best maker of consistently good sauvignon blanc.
Classic NZ perfume of grapefruit, lime and gardenia. Maybe a bit too much acid but not offensive. Lacks a bit in body. This beats the heck out of offerings from CA in the same price range. CA continues to struggle with this grape.

Solid Marlborough sauv blanc; grapefruit, bell pepper, hint of passion fruit, some lime zest. Palate is fresh and tasty. Not fantastic, but quite tasty for the price.

Gooseberry, citrus and chervil aromas characterize the nose of this pale yellow/green Sauvignon Blanc. Freshly acidic and with nicely integrated alcohol (13.0%), it serves up similar flavors but does so in a thin-textured frame. The middle palate wanes and the finish is short. While refreshing and in no way offensive, this is simply not an upper echelon Kiwi offering. Drink now-2016.

I could certainly pick this out at a blind tasting as NZ. Pale yellow-green, gooseberry sherbet on the nose; super tart, gooseberry, some pineapple, just a hint of tropical notes. Not subtle but bracing.
