Ok with food, pretty mediocre on its own, though not undrinkable. Oak dominates and covers some sharp edges. There's no depth or much fruit. Oak, acidity and tannins that approximate structure.

Just about acceptable quaffer that's at its best with food. Earthy and smoky in character but oak-influenced bitter coffee flavours overwhelm what little fruit there is. Clunky and disjointed at the moment. Perhaps it'll develop into something more elegant and harmonious but I doubt it. £10.99, Berry Bros.

Light and fruity, some proper Bordeaux cut. Really not bad at all. The name really fits. This is a drinker’s wine.
