Retail $40. Very Heavy bottle (862g; 1lb 14.4oz). 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier, 20% Chardonnay. We are finally getting to the end of these (thank goodness). Sure, at the sale price of ~$25 it is tough to buy champagne, but I would rather save a few bucks and have a Gloria Ferrer Brut at ~$15. 87 Points on the Feuillatte.
Retail $40. Very Heavy bottle (862g; 1lb 14.4oz). 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier, 20% Chardonnay. My wife continues to like this wine, but I just don't get it. Sure, it's fine and it is relatively cheap (~$27 at my H-E-B, I love my H-E-B, but it has a metallic aspect that is just not my thing. 88 Points.
Retail $40. Very Heavy bottle (862g; 1lb 14.4oz). 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier, 20% Chardonnay. Another bottle, another meh. My wife seems to like it, so the $26 tariff at H-E-B (I love my H-E-B) is palatable. I would like to say the same about the wine, but, well, I guess it is "palatable".
Rep@ a gala disparaged this as everything he hates about champagne, but I liked its autumnal mid-palate of nuts and roasted apples. Months later, this tastes to me like it tasted to him, or at least how it tasted to Drunken Cyclist 6 weeks ago, so I wonder if the demo bottles had the same disgorgement date. In a Proustian whirlwind, I'm returned to my crass preference for Moscato d'Asti, even meh Moscato d'Asti

Retail $40. Very Heavy bottle (862g; 1lb 14.4oz). 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier, 20% Chardonnay. I broke down and bought six bottles of this wine, which were on sale at my local H-E-B (I love my H-E-B). My wife seems to really like this wine even though I find it a bit metallic. This bottle, however, was a bit above the previous. For less than thirty bucks? It fits the bill.
