Pure, dense, New World syrah. On the nose: blackberry, plum, soft black pepper. On the palate: a touch flabby, but cherry, tobacco, plum liqueur, and juicy notes on a finish that shows some grip in its waning moments in the mouth..soft spicy heat on the finish, and the 15% ABV is relatively well hidden. Not bad.
