  • I really like this wine, and the varietal is simply wonderful for drinking red wine when you just feel like drinking red wine. The price point is excellent, and this will go well with food just as easily as it goes by itself.

Appearance: clear without gas or sediment. Ruby with a purple hue. Legs are medium and brisk.

Nose: clean. medium(-) intensity red cherries, raspberries and forest floor. Some sweet spices. Not very complex.

Palate: acidity medium(+), tannins medium and supple. Body is medium. Alcohol is medium. Flavors of strawberries, currants, cherries, plum and raspberries dominate and unfold into some mild vanilla and minerality. A bit of a smokey aroma emerges. Finish is medium.

Conclusions: very good. Ready to drink, and drink I will!
