Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 91.3 points

  • Glass: Zalto Bordeaux
Decanted a few hours before the tasting.
Clear pale golden color. Clean nose, very floral and herbaceous. A bit more complex than the 2019.
Dry, ripe, animating and harmonious acidity. Herbaceous and floral, almost airy, warm stone fruit, wonderful mineral core. You can almost taste the limestone soil. Beautiful texture and balance. Long and lingering finish. Not yet at its full potential, needs a few years to fully shine and has certainly a potential for another decade. 91+

  • "Böhlig" is the only P.C. vineyard in Wachenheim with limestone soils.

Compact in the nose, with some chamomile, ripe peach, quince and stony elements. Very well balanced in the mouth, has creaminess, a fine phenolic and a stony core, fresh acidity, floral notes and a hint of ripe fruit. Very good length and with a slightly salty note in the finish. Already wonderful to drink, but has potential. Almost GG level, once again a top single vineyard Riesling from this producer!
