Ripe yellow apple, ripe pear, plastic/tdn on the nose. Medium + intensity of aromas. The palate is totally different, showing classic Pfalz flavors of tropical fruit (ripe papaya, ripe mango, ripe soursop) as well as lemon juice and lime juice. Texturally sharp from the acid; but the flavors are beautiful with a medium intensity. The whole thing feels elegant despite the sharpness.
Medium body with high acid at this stage. Developing. Very nice right now but going to be even better in 2-5 years. Drink or hold. Great pairing with chopped liver.

Young, bright and with a dash of phenolic grip on the back end, this seemed fruit sweet when it was first opened, but after a couple of hours of air it brought out the minerality and tightened up the fruit. Peach skin, Rainier cherry and lemon zest pick up a dash of spearmint, and then are sucked into a vortex of rocks and acid. This needs five or ten years to unfold.

Bürklin-Wolf Tasting (Freiheit Vinothek, Ulm, Germany): Glass: Zalto Bordeaux Decanted a few hours before the tasting. Clear pale golden color. Clean nose, very floral and herbaceous, fresh and youthful. Nice. Dry, ripe, animating acidity. Herbaceous and floral, almost airy, warm stone fruit, wonderful mineral core. Good tension. Long and lingering finish. Needs a few years to fully shine and has certainly a potential for another decade. 90-91+
