New world Pinot made in a rustic old world style with plenty of oomph. Dark red berry fruit, has legs to go for probably 5 years. Very clean and polished. It’s nice but not moving.

This bottle was excellent; the nose was filled with bright red fruits, some hints of baking spices and lots of stony mineral and forest floor. Very tight on the palate initially, but opens to reveal more and more fresh fruit and a long mineral tinged finish. This has developed nicely. I wouldn't buy this wine again for what I paid for it at the winery, but if you could find it for the current auction price it would be a solid buy.

Opened 30 minutes before serving. A big and brash powerhouse, this needs a few more years in the cellar to shed baby fat, but there is so much rich, well-spiced black fruit here.

Rose & Arrow Dinner (RPM Steak - Chicago IL): Opened 6+ hours before tasting. Much like when tasted at the winery in Nov '21. Lots of black fruit, lots of power, this has plenty of coiled energy so needs more cellar time to fully unfold. There is also a slightly bitter finish that needs another year or two to soften.

This is good stuff; wanted to try again after tasting and it didn't disappoint. Big fruit and floral notes on the nose with hints of earth and spice coming with air. The balance and concentration is great. Would like to see this at age 12-15 so will try to hold off on other bottles, but its drinking really well right now.
