100% Chardonnay. Barrel fermentation, zero dosage. Ripe and energetic with beautifully laced berries and ripe citrus fruits. The phenolic ripeness gives an impression of pinot fruits even though it’s 100% Chardonnay. Generous mouthfeel, toast, and a touch of nuts. Drinking deliciously already and should hold for another decade or so. (90/100)

Lush, loose knit and delicious. This does not have the icy precision of, say, Krug, but it has voluptuousness and character in spades. A strong acidic spine is covered up by all the rich baked apple flavor, but this still has years to go. Score: 93-94. Relative to expectations: ++

Tasting of Selosse Lieux-Dits Collection (deg. 2013 & 2019) and a few extras (Restaurant Møntergade): Indulgence overload. Creamy, rich and buttery with a full mouthfeel but the underlying acidity and citrus fruit keeps it nicely balanced and brings a refreshing character to the wine. On the nose you will find oceans of roasted hazelnuts, cream, slightly browned butter, sandel wood as well as ripe fruit such as mango, candied lemon and orange peel. Complex champagne and so much drinking pleasure right now. Looong finish.
Tasted alongside 17 bottles of Selosse and it really stood its ground. Fantastic value.
Extras at Tasting of Selosse Lieux-Dits Collection (deg. 2013 & 2019) and some more at Møntergade (25/09/2021).

Though I do get how a more purist palate might find the wood treatment here to make for a more lush and sumptuous mouthfeel, I do find this to be a superbly executed BdB with enough requisite acidity to keep everything judiciously moving. It’s certainly not for those looking for an uber zing or bracing acidity kind of experience.
Drinks beautifully now with a bit of air.

In a great spot right now. Fresh and succulent. This can age and develop tertiary flavors of course, but why wait?!
