Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 80 points

  • Received as a present (had never heard of it before)

First night: Despite decanting for an hour this wine had a nose dominated by the smell of burnt rubber (think 1970 Chevelle SS 454) with a bit of oak. The taste was thin, fumey, and alcoholic. Yuck.

Second night: Nose had totally calmed down as had the hot, alcoholic taste on the palate. Drinkable but still a bit thin and unmemorable. Mild tannins, medium finish. Maybe this is how this wine is supposed to be but I don't think I would buy it on purpose.
