  • Uninspiring. Nearly a "pass", but still drinkable. Just absolutely nothing interesting about it.

  • Colour: medium straw
    Nose: lemon, lemon curd, nectarine. Quite oaky, surprisingly, with lots of French oak and vanillin. Honeycomb.
    Palate: lemon, lemon peel, mandarin. Nectarine. Honeycomb. French oak, vanilla—quite oaky, even though only 8% of the cuvée was aged in oak (the rest was in stainless steel). Fresh citrusy acidity. Some phenolic character, slightly drying (from oak?). Medium bodied, with some richness overlaying the lithe, linear acidity. 12,5% alcohol. Seal: DIAM cork.
    DAY2: opened up overnight, lost most of the phenolic character. Acidity still lithe and fresh, linear. Less hard work than it was yesterday...
