  • Pnp. Violets and dark berry nose. Ripe black fruits, cocoa and graphite. Lush, silky, layered and complex. Well made wine with integrated tannin and a long finish.

  • This was so tasty. There is so much concentration and depth in this wine. The wine feels pretty big on the mouth, very smooth and silky. Layers of smoked black fruit pave the way for some old leather, and warm spices. Few hours later you get some nice earthiness/forest floor type deal, some caramel and great herbal notes.
Excellent bottle and great price at around 65$. Cheers

  • I really enjoyed the first couple bottles of this vintage but I believe it was in somewhat of a really youthful/barrel tasting phase as it showed a really nice purity, really smooth (seamless from beginning to end), solid depth/concentration, nice full flavors, long finish, etc.. However, this vintage now appears to be transitioning - it is a little tannic and not as seamless. Still pretty good especially for the price but it didn't wow me like the last two bottles. I believe it needs another year or so to let the fruit soften/open-up. Drank this bottle over two days and it did improve on day two - the tannins softened-up quite a bit. 91/92 on day one and 93 on day two. 100% cab.

  • Decided to revisit because I’m thinking about buying more to lay down. Some improvement from a couple months ago - the fruit has opened-up/fanned-out some. Dark purple fruit - primarily blackberry and black currants with a little dark cherry and blueberry. Really smooth coupled with solid depth/concentration - medium plus body. Nice vibrant flavors of dark berries, some spice, and a little mineral/graphite component. Fairly long finish. Popped/poured but drank out of a decanter for a couple hours. Improved a little with time but drinking quite well right away despite its youth. Once again, a solid QPR in the mid-$60s in the secondary market but the winery direct price continues to increase and is now at $125. I’ve never seen such a price disparity with the secondary market and winery direct for a newly released wine. 100% cab.
