Monster fruit up front, with blackberry, boysenberry, and dark cherry, transitioning to notes of earth, herbs, raisins, and a little smoky scorched note. Fruit forward, in a new world style. Not subtle. 16% ABV. But really nice if you like this style of wine.

pours a glass-staining purple with an powerful nose of blueberry, blackberry, black cherry and spicy wood. Tasting shows ripe, concentrated flavors of black and red fruits, chocolate covered espresso beans, smoky bacon and a gorgeous rush of vanilla.

(Decanted for one hour) Warm fruit, vanilla oak and sweetness with hints of herbs and an intense palate with aggressive tannins combined with a youthful fruitiness. Very nice and pleasant and perfect with grilled tenderloin, but should reward a couple of more years cellaring. (Best 2021-2031)

I buy Clio every year. I typically hold at least five bottles in a vertical. I'm a little disappointed with the 2016 vintage. Not the fruit I'm use to from previous vintages. Albeit the wine is solid with just a touch too much oak. I have to admit I did PNP. I going to save half the bottle to reevaluate the nectar tomorrow...stay tune.

PNP. Black to the rim. Blackberry, iron, fig and caramel on nose. On palate, medium acidity, low tannins and full body. 92+/-
