  An impressive and composed wine with lovely complex aromas of earthy clovey, smokey, slightly figgy blackberries, raspberries and some cherries aromas. Has a medium bodied dense and four square plush palate with very good concentration and lively acidity on the attack and plump middle. Ends medium length and zingy.

  Cork not in great shape -- started to crumble -- but I managed to extract it. Wine is very good, consistent with prior tastings, very nice aged Rioja.

  Checked into this after about a year -- bottle variation is the theme for this wine. This bottle was very nice; others have been thin and missing fruit. Required about 20 minutes for the fruit to develop. Reasonable structure, cherries, a bit dry. But quite nice.

  I had given up on this wine after several faded bottles. Opened this one to cook with and turned out to be a great surprise. Nice aroma, well structured, fruit present but not overwhelming. Medium-bodied, a bit hollow on the finish. My expectations were low and this one outperformed! Still have a few bottles left and will check into them over the next 6 months......experience overall has been considerable bottle variation.
