Had a bottle of this with lunch at Le Procope, supposedly the oldest restaurant in Paris. A nice match with prawn cocktail and Veal Blanquette. Crisp, but with air and when warmed up a bit this showed real character with some denser stone fruit as well as the bright citrus flavours which opened proceedings. Really enjoyable. Over priced in the restaurant, but good value available around €15 retail.

Pale greenish hay in color. Lemon zest, sea spray, oyster shell nose. Bright, great acidity. Lots of minerality with a medium finish. Tastes like the nose. Some chalky, flinty notes as well. Refreshing. Very dry. Really great value wine right here. Suitable for big group events.
Frozen pizza tonight followed by an Arturo Fuente

Bright straw yellow-gold with medium minus optical density and very fine, high specular reflectivity. Aromas are strong, with fresh zesty citrus (grapefruit and lemon peel), tropical fruits, and some grassy meadow flowers. On the palate, fresh, zesty acidity and easy-going body provide for an easy refreshing drink. Flavours of various fruits (citrus, tangerine notes) and grassy florals on the attack, with a streak of minerals cutting through things. The midpalate sees the fruit turning softer, with a touch of a grilled character, while at the same time seeing limestone gravel fill in the gaps. The final transition sees the texture turn chalky, with more vibrant rich fruits that become sweeter at this point. Finishes very clean, with the length being at the back of the palate, where grilled pineapple and grassiness linger with decent time. Overall intensity is very nice, with enough depth and complexity to surpass the average.
An awesome wine that is classic for the region, providing great value. A fun wine that is at home with food or on its own, with both breadth and depth to appreciate. Plenty fruit-forward, for an approachable and yet elegant profile. Lovely!
On nose and palate: fairly shy, although the classic notes of mineral, chalk, and lemon are apparent....as it warms up , clean but not forward acidity, with apple skin and brick dust added ....a lean , austere wine, well suited to shellfish and oysters...not very complex, but showing well for an entry level village Chablis.
