This wine is in great shape right now, but give itbple ty of time to breathe. I don’t like to decant my wines: way too rude a process to retain the complexity of many wines. Instead I always slow-ox: pour a little of the wine to test it and leave the bottle for several hours. In this case the best glass was about 20 hours after opening the bottle (i.e. the next day).
Medium ruby color. No sign og ageing yet. Full aromas of ripe blackcurrant, some cherry, leather and violet, evolving with some green pepper and wet earth. Full bodied with dusty-smooth tannins and balanced acidity. A very long finish that remains fresh throughout. This wine has a great balance right now but certainly has the structure to last for many more years. Drink now - 2032

My first Gran Clos, at first it was a little bit closed and the alcohol (15%) was sticky. But after approx 2 h it did really open up. Great fruit, and good balance between tannins and acidity. Great value for the money

What a killer, take it easy with this. Really powerful and tasty. The alcohol is there, needs a big steak to match this powerfull wine. A bottle is enough to 4 people.
