Drank with BBQ ribs. Excellent match. Deep dark red. Nose is heavy alcohol, even after being open 2+ hours. Nose is sweet cherry. Taste of black cherry, tart, mild tannins. I didn't get the earth noted in the purchase tasting notes.

91 score is for first night.....dark brambly fruit, light zin nose, light zin spice......2nd night after left on the counter overnight with cork in bottle, no gas, no vacuum.....an 89.....fruit is smoother, less of it upfront, but a little tart red cherry ending to it. Much of the zin spice is gone, but there's still a little on the finish. Acidity is quite good and it lingers long after you swallow making for a long mouth watering aftertaste hanging around. Just wish the frontside fruit held up better overnight for the 2nd day. Maybe it's a bit too soon for this one? I'm not really sure.

An After-Lunch Wine Tasting (Chicago Wine Consulting - Glenview IL): Tasting, brief note. An old vine concentration I truly enjoyed with a touch jammy. Still dense and reasonably well balanced. This would go very well with spicy BBQ.
