I wasn't expecting much after the previous CT glowing recommendations but I gave it a go. I liked the fruit and the tannins were subdued. The finish was a bit of a disappointment Not that I'm a big Italian Syrah drinker, but it wasn't all that bad. I would easily drink another bottle. Of course I'm not as picky as Kevin and Jeff.

had forgotten Garagiste's buildup for this wine...given that probably a bit disappointed at this stage but has potential to be better. Right now a bit simple, closed...not tight...just not giving anything compelling. Comfortable, simplier syrah right now although second night got a glimpse of some secondary flavors and more complexity that could be on the horizon. Wait 3-5 years on next bottle.

I like this Syrah. It is not as in your face as some of the Washington and Australians. It is drinking really well now.

little to distinguish this somewhat angular and blandly tannic wine from any other. lacks soul.

G6 (Alex): Deep ruby color. Spicy red fruit nose. Flavors of blackberry, boysenberry, and soy sauce. Good balance. Soft earthy finish. 14.5% alcohol.
