  • from half. restaurant purchase.

    Diam30.
    Crimson with some transparency.
Some red cherries, hints of richness, a drying tannin sense actually on finish. Nice fruity depth with time. Overall a classic old-world style pinot

  • Another PnP from a 375, half a year after the last one. Didn't read my last note in detail so here goes, wonder if it's consistent?!

Darker fruit nose, nice ripeness, but becoming more savory and pleasantly earthy with bottle air - I'd sum it up as black cherry and fresh dark dirt. Palate is tasty, sappy, pure fruit which seems less ripe than the nose indicated, including more of a fruit skin character. Refreshing acidity. Nicely balanced wine that is drinking wonderfully. Strikes a great balance between too restrained and too overt.

  • PnP from a 375.

Nose gives me very bright and polished red berry fruit; wild sage and herbs. Medium- in body; on the palate the entry is quite juicy and mouth-filling. Get a real character of the skin of the fruit, like chewy plum skin or cherry skin. Very light, yet grippy tannins on the finish.

Tasty, but needs time to come together. I couldn't resist popping a halfsie, as I found several at a local shop recently for $9!

Update: Becoming really nice with ~2 hours of bottle air. I see upside to my 91 points in due time.

  • Translucent medium ruby crimson color. Young, fragrant and balanced. Nose is fairly complex with raspberry bramble, strawberry, game meat, vanilla and a whiff of alcohol (despite only 13.8% ABV). Palate has bright acidity lots of “crunchy” red berries and a moderate finish that seems just a trifle short. Really good with a spinach, mushroom and feta cheese stuffed chicken breast. Probably better in about 5 years...
