Spicy red berry aromatics are high toned and edged with a lemon flambe twist. With air reveals a more mineraled core with soil and leather adding dimension. Muscular in the mouth with tough tannins balanced by spicy, anise tinged red berry fruit. The entry is a bit lifted by the acidity but the earthy and tarry midpalate fills out nicely and the core of sweet fruit carries through on the medium long finish. Giving all it's got tonight and my wine #2 of the night.

A Knight at babbo (New York): Very pale red looking somewhat like a faded rose.
