Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • {cork, 13.5%} Quite a dark garnet for Chianti. Salty, savoury red berry nose, with ripe cherry and blackberry jam aromas. Intense and youthful. The palate is modern and friendly, but still has a spine of fine grainy tannins and medium acidity to give it structure, and comparatively modestly rich red fruit in support. Medium weight, very dry indeed. It’s a bit patchy along the tongue with rather a dip in the mid-palate; this trims the finish back to short-medium in length. Minimal oak - this rides on the fruit and grape tannins. A few years won’t hurt but it’s not really a cellaring prospect I don’t think.
