Very nice over two nights, but really shined on the second night. On the first night there was a tension that coiled in the minerality, citrus, and other flavors such that it came across a bit austere. Very nice, but austere. On the second night it really opened. Still tension, but relaxed enough for the waxy lemon, tangerine zest, and honeysuckle to show. A late prickly acidity keeps it lifted. It drank like a cooler Roussane blend with a nod to Chablis. 12.5% abv.
A mix of Bical, Cerceal and Secialinho.
If you've got a bottle of this, consider giving it some air. It is great on it's own or with apps, but if I had another bottle I'd go with a white fish dish that has some lemon and a bit of salty elements. Something simple and clean. Would be a great pairing.
Note: If I'd have scored this based on PnP it'd be a very respectful '88'. As it is, I feel like the '91' might even be too stingy. I had it as a '90', but a few minutes after the last sip with the finish still going strong, I had to up it a point.

Light straw yellow. Modest aromas of under-ripe apples, rhubarb and some minerals. Reminds of a Muscadet. Quite tart and steely, with a sharp acidity (from the 25 % Sercial grapes?)

Pours a pale lemon green. Flavors of underripe peach, honeydew melon, yeast and oyster shells. Smokiness and salinity throughout. There’s no oak on this - all the smoke comes from the chalky soils. Definitely some lees contact, albeit slight.
