Community Tasting Notes (6) Median Score: 92 points

  • This wine is mind blowing. It could be diluted 50/50 and still be more powerful than most wines. I didn't have a chance write down any specific notes, but it had everything in it you could imagine. Intensity is off the charts. A 40-year Graham Tawny Port served at the same time literally tasted like water in comparison.

  • Light amber. A whiff of VA and a plethora of grilled nuts. Elegant medium + weight. Tangy, salty caramel with a youthfully tart finish. Only moderately sweet, and seemingly even less than that due to the cleansing acidity. Young and extremely promising. Give it 10 to 20 more years for it to fully blossom.

  • Medium amber. Complex aromas of brine, caramel, toast, and sour orange. Medium sweet and full bodied on the palate with a precisely constrained but generous spread of Seville orange and bitter rind on the mid palate, narrowing to a channel of flavor at the back, very geometric. Beautifully balanced meld of bitter rind and acid bite around core of sweet but not cloying fruit, with an undercurrent of salt caramel and a hint of apple vinegar. Incredible intensity as you follow the line of flavor from front to back. Very long finish.

  • Bottled in 2019.
Deep tawny in color. like maple syrup in the glass.
Aromas of old leather, crushed autumn leaves, walnut, sous bois, chocolate, molasses, spice cake, dried fruits, dried orange peel, salted caramel and chocolate.
On the palate this wine is medium sweet with good acidity. Deep and nutty with crushed walnut notes that play into spice cake, salted caramel, old leather, dried leaves, dried bitter orange skin, molasses, cola syrup, dried fruits, earth and chocolate. Balanced, not hot or cloying and lingers on the palate with a touch of bitterness.
