Still lots of intensity driving the ripe cassis and vanillin oak with accents of pencil shavings, plum and maybe even prune emerging since our last bottle a few years ago. Full bodied and aromatic with abundant fine tannic structure deliver a lingering finish.

This might be my favorite bottle of “O-Shag-Hennessey” Mt Veeder ever. Bold aromas of violets, blackberries, black cherries, plums and graphite. Bold and complex flavors and a 20-second finish. This baby is humming now and likely has 10 years left to enjoy. No need to decant, but it opened up nicely after the bottle was open for an hour!

Amazing wine. Really started to sing after 2.5 hours in the opened bottle (didn't decant). Others have done a good job with the flavor and nose profile. Drinking well now, but definitely will continue to improve with age.

Another great O’Shaughnessy loaded with cassis, violets, and wild game framed by a good dose of oak which still needs some time to integrate. Really well structured with abundant fine tannins and acidity to balance the fruit. 93+

A solid wine but we preferred the 2015 version
