Cossonay, Switzerland , from restaurant list. Very nice nose with discreet reductive matchstick and flintstone notes which do not distract from florality. Very finely-boned structure and moderate power. This a super elegant village.

Un splendide jus de roche, dense et salin, d’une pureté et d’une profondeur précision exemplaires. C’est long, d’une ampleur de premier crû et surtout…tellement délicieux. Un des meilleurs Chassagne villages que j’ai bu. 92-93 pts

Nick's 2008 Burgundies (Noizé, London): Obviously paler than its flightmate, more restrained on the nose. With swirling a smoky edgle unfurls, with apple and lemon. It is delicious, spicy and spry, even though it can't at this stage really compete with the Puligny. A late sub for a sadly DOA 2008 Meursault, hence the youth.

Nick A's 2008 Burgundy Horizontal (Table B) (Noizé, London): Clearly more youthful that its flight mate. There's a laser focussed lime oil character to the nose with some tarragon notes to contrast. A big future ahead of this; very refined and together.

Burgundy Grand Cru Dinner (The Morris, San Francisco): Pale. Bright citric aromas. Clean, lean, and delicate compared to the two 2014's that came before it but very fine. For earlier drinking.
