Flowers, cherries, licorice, and tomatoes in olive oil on the nose. Bright acidity with dark cherries and plums on the palate. Got juicier as it opened up. Granite, mild oak, and juicy dried dark fruit on the finish.

Initially very closed, opens after 30 minutes. Not very complex, but delivers for the price (15 Euro ).

Good but not outstanding. Well balanced and certainly still fresh with the acidity in the mix, but somewhat lacking in the cherry nuances I would have expected from a Chianti Classico at this level. Still it was better than the sirloin steak that accompanied it!
