  • There are rumours that Madam Leroy is holding back on her 2016 Domaine release. To get a taste of her 2016 vintage, we test-drove the humble 2016 Maison Leroy Bourgogne Gamy, Chenas, and Julienas, which were all served blind (only available for the Japan market, 5000 bottles per year for each cuvee). According to the salesperson who visited the domaine earlier this year, the Chenas and Julienas are the first vintage of the respective cuvee yet they will not be released again. The Chenas was the best wine. Delicate with bubblegum, sweet raspberries, and purple flowers. The Julienas was a lighter and more watery expression of Bojo. The Bourgogne Gamay was funky and gamey but it had more weight and power than the other two.
