Poured some after popping the cork. Very tannic, needs to breath. After an hour or so it opened up nicely and is much more balanced although still a bit tannic, which is perfectly fine with me. Went very nicely with a grilled porterhouse.

Very solid, medium tannins, plums, red berries and hickory smoked bacon (believe it or not) on the nose.

Too tannic for my liking, this wine needs food like bread needs butter. If you're a lover of chianti you might like it, but i'll pass on it for now.
