Friday at the Strand (Strand Cellars, Croydon): Very slight struck match, slight honey, more citric than the tolpuddle and with a touch of minerality on the nose. Juicy, medium plus intensity acidity, very citrus but with a slight buttery underpin. A little short. Hmm, lack of length is an issue for me.

6 Tasmania wineries Dec-19; 12/27/2018-1/2/2019 (Tasmania): {screwcap, 13.5%, A$58} Biodynamically farmed, like the riesling. Muted nose; gentle nuts, white flowers. The palate has gentle, medium acidity, a cool quality, all about clean fruit, without a lot of malo character. Light-medium body, light on the oak; beguiling if you’re in the mood, but certainly on the low-key side. And for serious money too.
