Slightly more developed than 5 years ago, with some secondary flavor of forest floor, minerals and noticeably more smooth and elegant. Probably will develop further but open for business with a bit of a decant.

First I've seen/heard of this Cru/plot. How different this was, compared to the '05 Lafarge Caillerets. This was much prettier, with silky red cherries that glided across the palate like satin. Very good!

Some sour red fruit, cream vanilla and a somewhat short finish. A bit tannic, and that is what lingers. One of the tasters said "metallic", but I don't get that.
The longer this sits in the glass, the softer it gets, as the wine seems to be broadening out. The finish is even longer now. Quite nice, but it reminds me of no SRH wine of which I'm familiar.

A firm brawny pinot with its dense red fruit. At this stage not particularly complex but everything is in balance ... very enjoyable but perhaps a bit of a waste to open it at this time.

Very tight and austere. Opened for an hour then poured. Got better in the glass. Needs possibly another 5 years or else never coming around.
