  Very similar in style to the ‘2015 El Senat del Montsant’. A very enjoyable and generous wine, a blend of 40 % Garnatxa, 40 % Samsó (Carinyena) and 20 % Syrah, sourced from different old-vines plots in the municipality of El Masroig (province of Tarragona, Catalunya). Maturation: eight months in French oak barrels. Color: dark ruby-red robe. Bouquet: intense scents of forest fruit, cassis, leather and a touch of eucalypt and thyme. On the palate: a rich, remarkably well-balanced wine with abundant plum and cherry fruit, a velvety texture and refined tannines. Harmonious finish. I gave this wine about 60 minutes of air prior to consumption. It pairs nicely with grilled meats and stews. Drinking window: now–2022. Great QPR.
  
  Quasi identiek in stijl als de vorige jaargang (2015) van deze wijn. Een bijzonder aangename en genereuze wijn, een blend van 40 % Garnatxa, 40 % Samsó (Carinyena) en 20 % Syrah, afkomstig van verschillende kleine percelen met oude stokken in de gemeente El Masroig (provincie Tarragona, Catalonië). Rijping: acht maanden in Franse eiken vaten. Kleur: donker robijnrood. Bouquet: intense aroma’s van bosfruit, cassis, leder en ook een vleugje eucalyptus en tijm. In de mond: een rijke, zeer fraai uitgebalanceerde wijn met overvloedig pruimen- en kersenfruit, een fluwelige textuur en verfijnde tannines. Harmonieuze afdronk. Laat deze wijn een 60 minuutjes ademen alvorens hem te serveren. Een goede begeleider van gegrild vlees en stoofschotels. Optimaal drinkgenot: nu–2022. Voortreffelijke prijskwaliteitsverhouding.
