Big power, low intensity. Lot’s of dark fruit, vanilla, English liqorice and spice. Not my style. Too little elegance and fruit, but probably well-made wine. Wouldn’t buy again.

This is a straight Tinta de Toro from Zamora. The wine sees 14 months in a mix of large and small French oak.
Bright, appealing red fruit on the nose. Quite primary, with a hint of purple lollies. Carries through in the mouth, with red berries followed by relatively firm, furry tannin. Good structure and acid. Good value.
