Light yellow color with just a hint of scarlet. Honeysuckle, lemon and waxy yellow fruit scents. Clean and crisp on the palate. Lemon oil, and good mellow acidity finishing smooth on the palate with a slightly bitter lemon peel flavor. Medium length, Dry finish. This is best with food. I like more fruit and juiciness in a rose for my taste but this drinks like an aromatic white for me.

Hugely disappointing given the “Cru Classe” moniker and the $32+ price tag from Garagiste. Made primarily from Rolle (Vermentino, a white grape) with enough Mourvedre and Grenache to give the wine a very pale salmon (pale orange) color. Delicate aromas and flavors of ripe tropical fruit, diluted strawberry, some minerals, and enough spicy herbs to pique interest. Lacks intensity, complexity, and enough notable acidity to support a long finish. Better with food than without. I’m not sure how this will develop; one thing is for certain, there are much better Provençal Roses for a fraction of the price. Pass in the future for me.
