This wine is clear and pale lemon in color. The nose is vegetal, with notes of stewed asparagus and stewed carrots. I also smell ripe cantaloupe, lime zest, a little green tea, and just a hint of pineapple and cotton candy. The palate is oddly less bold than the nose, but citrus is prominent, along with lime zest, the vegetal qualities, and the green tea. The wine is dry, with medium acidity, medium complexity, and a medium finish. Overall, I judge this wine to be of acceptable quality.

South African Chenin Blanc: A Signature Variety Arrives (SOMM CON DC): Medium greenish yellow and clear in appearance. Zesty nose with some stone fruits, pineapple, light citrus on the front followed by a touch of straw and some white flowers. Mouthwatering acidity with a medium minus body. Acidity hits you straight on the palate like biting into an under-ripe granny smith apple. Gets a bit riper as it warms up with some white peaches. Overall very clean with a bone dry medium length finish. Drink till 2023.

Fun Chenin for a good price. Peaches and flowers with ra y acidity and some chalky, white tea notes. Solid pairing with some spicy Korean noodles.
