A very smart Bordeaux blend (CF only just the dominant varietal). Ripe but not overdone. Some charred oak evident. Balanced. Medium weight. Very well managed tannins. Good for another 10 years.

Give this a good decant guys; tried fresh out the bottle and again at 30 minutes and it was super tight, grippy and largely fruitless. It was the end of the night so vac pumped and fridged.
Tried it again the following afternoon (after letting it come up to room temp) and it was singing: the edge had gone and given way to lush, red fruits and integrated tannin. Happy to still have one bottle left.

New Zealand micro trip; 5/6/2019-5/9/2019 (North Island, New Zealand): Plenty of caramel, chocolate and toasted oak, dominates the fruit on the nose. A little red berry and cherry. Massive oak on the palate as well, which, again, dominates the fruit. Doesn’t bode well for longevity.
