Last bottle, purchased at release. Cork crumbled, had to push through and strain...wine was not effected. Decanted for about 30 minutes, drank over an hour w Mer and Charlotte.
Notes from 3 years ago:"Deep ruby/purple color, mild separation. Nose of dark fruits and vanilla. Velvety palate showing black cherry, currant, cassis, mild oak...pronounced and rich dark chocolate through the mid and back palate. Really nice texture throughout. Medium/full body, long finish...."
Texture is notable, plush and open. Classic Oakville profile, dust and earth along with plush fruits. Drank really well on this evening. The 02 Napa for the most part was not anticipated to be a long lived vintage, these have held up better than expected. Well stored bottles could go for a while but i don't think it's likely improve much from here, would drink up.

Opened at home, some trouble with the cork, strained and decanted for about 30 minutes, drank over 2 hours. Paired with a "mildly spiced" Jambalaya...really started to show about an hour in, decant made a differene. First bottle, bought at release, in my cellar since.
Deep rudy/purple color, mild separation. Nose of dark fruits and vanilla. Velvety palate showing black cherry, currant, cassis, mild oak...pronounced and rich dark chocolate through the mid and back palate. Really nice texture throughout. Medium/full body, long finish.
Seems like tasters had varied experience. I thought this was excellent on this evening, surprised to the upside as I thought (Based on vintage) it may have faded more. Really nice wine from N&N, would drink now if you have it

This wine has endured. Opened about 1/2 hour before drinking, then used my Vinturi to pour it. Still tannic, but smoothed out over the next few hours. Rich, ripe, dark fruit, some leather on the nose. Excellent wine.

No decant, unfortunately -- this needed it. A guest wanted more wine so we opened this. Definitely not going anywhere soon, and probably ready with proper decanting. No score given the challenging circumstances. I have one more, so we'll see in a few years....
