  • The rim is medium brick and the wine is little cloudy so I was not expecting a lot but then the bouquet of this wine just jumps out of the glass. Very forward nose of leather and cherries, wild strawberries, heading toward barnyard but not quite reaching it, forest undergrowth; very nice complexity. The palate is very nice balance of sweet fruit and acidity and very ripe, barely detectible tannins. The finish is quite long. Time to drink up. Very enjoyable!

  • My first bottle of this had been rather dominating by aggressive tannin, but this was a joy to drink. Dark stone fruits, a hint of barnyard, citrus peel and cloves on the nose. Repeated on the palate with liqourice overlayered. Round and mouthfilling but with some attractive, breezy acidity.
