  • Enjoyed with some antipasto fire pit side. Even though the alcohol is low at 13% and the age so far, I find it hard to believe a well kept bottle is in the downside of the drinking window here. Very young and bright, bright fruits- tart cherries, pomegranate, raspberry. Smooth transition to a 20ish second finish in the mouth where the oak starts to peak through with some currants. Acid level is slightly more that I would hope for, and the blend might have been helped by slightly more merlot, but that is nit picking.
Not a real long life ahead but easily 5 more years if it lasts. The price point in mid $20s is very accommodating.

  • Excellent produit, belle base de merlot, rond, long mi-corsé, super food friendly avec de la viande rouge

  • Faint floral perfume, tart dark cherry. Palate: tart mixed berries, leather, drying astringency, grainy tannins that coat the mouth. Oak emerges on the finish. I haven't had too many 2017s, but this one surprised me and was quite good especially considering the price ($20).

  • Fresh, juicy, and lifted, while featuring strong terroir markers, including drying tobacco, funk, and the charred earth element for which Pessac-Léognan is known. Plum, pomegranate, and raspberry driven Merlot showed prominently, draping the blackcurrant, pepper garden, gravel, and graphite of Cabernet Sauvignon. We drained the bottle quickly. A few years in the cellar will do it no harm. Likely to pair spectacularly with fowl dishes, duck in particular.

  • The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, cranberry and cherry. It tastes like blackberry, cranberry, cherry and black currant (cassis). The body is medium. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.
