A bottle that wasn't properly stored, so my expectations were low. However, the wine delivered nicely. Deep ruby color, nose is a bit muted after 15 years, but the flavors are surprisingly fresh. Lots of blackberry, not much tanin, but plenty of body remains.

Deep dark purple color, with no signs of aging. Very plummy smell, with some violets, raspberry, and blueberry. The mouth entry manages to be smooth, rich, and gear shifts into a driving blackberry, yet remains well structured and dry from refreshing acidity and supportive tannin. Although this wine is marketed as the inexpensive Bordeaux blend made to enjoy young, this 12 year old bottle is aging nearly as well as the high end Fogary Santa Cruz Cabernet Sauvignon. Overall, a delicious drink anytime multi-appellation Bordeaux blend that is a superb value in the $15 to $25 range.

Very pleasant everyday red with flavors of sweet fruit, cherries and chocolate and with a nice finish. Ready to drink.

Not very tannic - quite approachable and pleasant, albeit with little complexity.

For the price, this wine is very good. Cherry, licorice, and decent tanin lay the foundation. Short finish, but intense.
